Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant

JOB LOCATION:  Pearland, TX

POSITION SUMMARY: Elite Orthopedics / Sports Medicine, a growing practice in Pearland , TX , provides exceptional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine care for our patients by integrating treatment options, wellness activities, and personal attention to ensure the best possible medical outcome and foster healthy living.  To expand on our services, we are searching for a Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Working as a team with our Physician, our therapy staff specializes in orthopedic and sports conditions to provide excellent rehabilitation services for foot and ankle disorders, shoulder and elbow disorders, hip and knee disorders and other orthopedic concerns.  Some of the responsibilities include:

• Administering treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability
  
• Assisting patients to reach their maximum performance and level of function
  
• Completing patient evaluation and plan of program care
  
• Demonstrating competency in the performance of patient evaluations cognitive, perceptual, sensory motor coordination and strength / range of motion
  
• Interviewing patient / family for program planning
  
• Selecting analysis and formulating long term goals
  
• Assisting in ordering of supplies
  
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, PT Aides and PT students
  
• Familiar with sports medicine specific protocols

EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Physical Therapy or Certificate for Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant

EXPERIENCE: Documented demonstration of Physical Therapy skills; Experience with billing and coding procedures as related to Medicare

LICENSE: License and Registration - State of Texas ; Current CPR certification
